We got new product in the store, the beautiful Webster Pages collection "Sunday Picnic". The colors are so pretty it reminds me of a rainbow sherbert ice cream. I used some pictures of my daughter when we spent the day at the beach last October, she had so much fun running in the sand and playing in the playground...I also used sketch #194 from Ceative Scrappers

This next layout is also using the Sunday Picnic collection, a simple layout of our family, this collection has such a pretty background papers that you really do not need to do much to make it look nice...

We also received the Cotton Tail Collection from We R Memory Keepers, perfect for Easter, here is a double page layout using a great sketch from Let's Scrap

New Monthly Class - Basic Grey Page of the month For those of you not familiar with the Page of the month from Basic Grey, this is a monthly club that Basic Grey started a couple of years ago, they provide 10-12 sheets of paper from their newest collections, alpha or element stickers and two full packs of embellishments. They also provide instructions for a one two page layout designed by one of their awesome designers. This year, I am kicking it up a notch with this this basic class and will teach you how to use all the wonderful product provided, because let me tell you, you get enough product to create way more than just two pages! This month I created 8 layouts and one card! I will give you instructions on how to do just that and I will have the samples in the class. Here is a sneak peek of all the stuff we will be creating! Class date: Sunday January 15th, 2012 Time: 2-5 Cost: $24.99 (that is a steal!)The space is limited and this monthly club is for a year.

Join Nicole for four 12x12" layouts featuring the super cute "Orchard Harvest" collection from Samantha Walker and Creative Imaginations. This collection is overflowing with rich browns, oranges & yellow...perfect for those photos of turning leaves, pumpkin patches, and Thanksgiving tables. This class kit will be stuffed full of product! You can expect a full glitter alphabet, a full package of multi-sized bling, two sticker sheets and a full die cut pack in your class kit...lots of leftovers to take home and play with! We will learn some fun cutting and folding techniques, and of course enjoy snacks and even a couple of prizes. And don't worry...if you can't make the class, you can always purchase a kit with color photos and instructions!
In addition to your basic tool kit, please be sure to bring the following to class:

For November, we will be having 2 weekend (3 day) crops, November 11-12-13 and November 25-26-27.

Our first event on November 11, 12 & 13 “Strictly Scrappin' " the cost will be $30.00 per day or $80.00 for all 3 days and will include the following:

9:00 am to Midnight on Saturday
10:00 – 8:00 on Sunday…That is a total of 40 hrs of crop time!

Christmas has Arrived!

Did you know that 12 Christmas collections have arrived in the past 2 weeks?? There are so many different designs and colors to choose from, like elegant and vintage in red and green, to whimsical in pinks and turquoise. Scrapbook Daisies has them all! Here's an idea with traditional red and green, using "Wonder & Wishes" from Little Yellow Bicycle, an old frame, mini clothespins and some twine.

My sister and I have been working on some new dies for a birthday book.Then I Found these Balloons a while ago and have had my eyes peeled looking for Birthday paper to match. When I saw the new 7 Gypsies "Mykonos" Line I thought it would be perfect. These balloons are just too cute on the front cover! Inside there is a glittered cupcake with a cherry on top. We will be using felt, glitter, and spray adhesive to create this look. We will also be playing with the 7 gypsies paper tapes. No birthday is complete without a candle and presents which are some of the dies included in this book. Add some tags, buttons, and ribbon and you have the perfect birthday book for the young or just the young at heart

Camping Book Class with Traci and Anniversary Celebration!

Just a reminder that the Camping Book Class is this Wednesday, September 28 from 6-9 pm. Cost is $40.00

Here's what Traci has to say about her class...

Ohhh my Goodness do I love this camper!!! The shape of it alone is just too cute and it is a one of a kind, you will not find this album in the stores (Designed by my sister Julie). I could not pass up spraying the camper silver to mimic those old Silver Streak (Airstream) trailers. My grandparents had one and every summer we would drive up to Idaho and visit them. The kids of course had to sleep outside under the stars. They are some of my most cherished memories of my childhood. I used October Afternoon's "Campfire" line along with the Campfire shape stickers and also the word stickers. There's a giant sized button for the wheel on the front. I've added felt borders and leaves, corrugated board, fabric stars, cork board, buttons, and trim. I can't wait to add some pictures of my family last summer in Mammoth. I hope to see you in class.

Also, October 1 is Scrapbook Daisies 1 year anniversary! Can you believe it's been 1 year already?? We will be serving refreshments from 1-3, and everyone will receive a 20% discount all day!! Stop by and celebrate with us!

Destinations - Travel Book Class

Traci has used the New "Destinations" line for her Travel book by Simple Stories. She fell in love with this paper the minute she saw it because of the versatility. You can use pictures from Europe, a cruise, a trip on a train, or just visiting friends and family. In your kit you will receive the fundamental cardstock stickers, 4x6 journaling cards, Travel notes paper, and the flash cards. She has also included the Expressions Cardstock Stickers that include several sets of alphabets so that you can make titles on your pages. She has used the new Tim Holtz Pen Nibs along with his memo pins, game pieces, and mini paper clips. You will also be using Tim's new Kraft Resist Paper Stash along with the new Distress Stain to create a unique tag for the album. No book would be complete without Traci's buttons, ribbon and trim.

Scrapbook Daisies is participating in a great program called Operation We R Grateful!
We have teamed up with We R Memory Keepers to Help a hero keep in touch with home and you could win big!
Operation We R Grateful is our effort to give back to our nation's servicemen and women! We are collecting blank, homemade cards to send to deployed troops to write home on, through our partner Operation Write Home.

We will be having a make and give this Sunday July 3rd from 11-5, we will have a table set up with everything you need to make a card and donate it to the troops, only one rule: NO GLITTER!
We are also a drop off zone, so if you have extra cards that you would like to donate we will be a taking cards up until July 29th and then we will pack and send all the cards to We R Memory Keepers.
When you drop off your cards you will be given an entry form and you could be one of 80 winners!
The categories of cards are: Birthday, Love (Anniversary or Miss You), Thank You, Thinking of you, Get well, and Major Holidays.

You can also send "Any Hero" cards which are cards with notes inside of them from you to the troops. These are a great way to get your children involved - the troops love to hear from them, and love to receive your encouraging words of motivation, cheer and comfort. •When: June 30th - July 29th, please drop off the blank cards by the DEADLINE: 5 PM •Where: Please drop off your blank cards to a Drop Zone (A participating scrapbook store collecting cards)

Scrapbook Daisies Design Team member Nicole made this darling layout of her Nephew using bits and pieces of the "Summertime" collection by Echo Park. I love how she combined the three different papers to fill in her scalloped circle!

Scrapbook Daisies News

Hello everyone! Kris here. If you are a Scrapbook Daisies kit club subscriber or member of the message board, you should have recently received an email from Martha describing some exciting changes to Scrapbook Daisies. In case you missed the email, here is a summary of the changes:

The brick and mortar store in Long Beach, California is doing extremely well. Lots and lots of the latest and greatest products have been arriving to the store, and seats for classes and crops have been filling very quickly! We are so very thrilled for Martha and Tony.

The online kit club division of Scrapbook Daisies will be undergoing some significant, positive changes beginning May 1st. Hey... that's today! Don't worry... Scrapbook Daisies will continue to make available one of a kind kits using the latest and greatest products. Details of the changes are as follows:

As of now, kits may be revealed at any given time, rather than adhering to a set schedule. Some months there will be one kit revealed and other months there may be two or three kits revealed. There may even be some months where no kit is revealed.

New kits will be advertised here on the blog, on our Facebook page, at Willow Traders, and on the design team members' blogs. Kits will be sold via a PayPal button right here on the blog on a first-come, first-served basis. They will not be produced in mass quantity, so be sure to keep on the lookout for the kits when they're revealed. The Basic Grey kit of the month will continue as scheduled.

There are also going to be changes to the way our challenges are managed. Everything is going to be streamlined right here on our blog! There will no longer be a need to comb through various posts on the message board to find activities to play along with. In fact, the message board will be phased out completely by the end of May. Feel free to continue to visit and post there for now, but by June all activity should be running from right here on our blog.

Look for our fun challenges to be posted here on the blog every Sunday starting on May 1st. Yeah! That's today! A winner will be selected shortly after the end of each month. You have to participate to win :)
